Manhasset High School seniors named Coca-Cola Scholars semifinalists — East Hampton Schools news

Two high school seniors have advanced in a highly competitive national scholarship program, earning recognition for their academic achievement, leadership and commitment to community service. Thomas Landon and William Pereira of Manhasset High School were named semifinalists in the 2027 Coca-Cola Scholars Program. The school is one of only two on Long Island with multiple semifinalists this year. The two students were selected from a nationwide pool of more than 113,000 applicants. A total of 1,227 high school seniors advanced to the semifinalist round. Landon and Pereira have begun the second phase of the selection process, which requires an essay, a letter of recommendation and academic transcripts. An independent selection committee will review the submissions and select 250 regional finalists in early January. Those finalists will then participate in online interviews.
